Guys, the enemy loves to isolate us. He loves to get us into that John Wayne, strong, silent type, “I don’t need anybody” mentality. That’s not masculine, that’s stupid.
The truth is that you and I desperately need a few good friends. Friends that are there when times are good and when times are bad. Friends who care about us enough to tell us when we’re on track and when we’re screwing up.
If you’ve got a friend or two like that, your chances of doing the right things will go up a thousand percent. Oh, and there’s one more thing, start with your wife. A woman who is allowed to see inside of her husband’s heart is a woman who will become a friend for life. She wants to see your heart, so let her in. Don’t put Reynolds Wrap around your heart, put Glad Wrap around your heart. That’ll make her glad, and you’ll be in a much better condition.
