The prophet Elijah spoke the truth of God. He confronted King Ahab about the king and queen’s wickedness and God’s message stuck. Even though Elijah delivered God’s message, he was still just a man. It took incredible courage for him to face a king who had put other prophets to death. Despite the risks involved, Elijah challenged Ahab and his queen Jezebel and delivered the message.

Most of us aren’t even willing to challenge so much as a school board member if we think that something within that person’s jurisdiction will harm our families. We need to demonstrate courage just the way Elijah did. God protected him, guys, and he’ll protect us as well. It’s high time we defend the truth of God. From sea to shining sea, let’s be about the truth.
